In April 2024, Governor Andy Beshear signed House Bill 256, establishing the program and allocating $5 million in grant funding. The initiative is expected to launch in Spring 2026.

- The applicant must own and live in the home.
- The property must be located in Kentucky.
- The home must be in good repair prior to upgrades.
- Condominiums and mobile homes are not eligible.
